Md Ausrafuggaman Nahid, Ph.D.

I earned my PhD from the University of Virginia under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Siegrist. My doctoral research focused on understanding the role of lipid metabolism in Drosophila neural stem cell proliferation during early developmental stages. In the Perrimon lab, I am particularly interested in exploring inter-organ communication in the contexts of normal development and disease.
