I earned my PhD from the University of Virginia under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Siegrist. My doctoral research focused on understanding the role of lipid metabolism in *Drosophila* neural stem cell proliferation during early developmental stages. In the Perrimon lab, I am particularly interested in exploring inter-organ communication in the contexts of normal development and disease.
